Hello from guest blogger Taylor

Hi everyone! This is Wendy's friend Taylor. She was kind enough to let me come on her blog and talk to you guys, so I figured I'll just sort of introduce myself. =)

My name is Taylor Castro and I'm 10 years old, 11 in October. I'll be starting 6th grade soon. I've gone to a private Catholic school since kindergarten, and it's okay. I like it, but most of my friends go to different schools. Before I moved in Wendy's neighborhood, I lived two doors down from my grandparents, who are my favorite people in the whole world. My best friend also lived next door. I still get to see them, since it's just on the other side of town, but I really miss running down to Lita's house (I call my grandma Lita because, as a baby, I could never pronounce abuelita, which is Spanish for grandma!) and playing everyday with my friends in the neighborhood. I get to hang out with Wendy a lot here, so it's almost okay.

My one true love is ballet. It's so much fun, and I really feel alive when I dance. I'm an only child, and I live with my parents. My mom is a nurse, and my dad is a reporter and photographer for our town's biggest newspaper. Something that I guess is pretty neat about me is that I can time travel. I've gotten to be pretty good friends with Bre's historical dolls because of that.

Sorry for such a long post! Hope I didn't bore you too much. =) Anything else you wanna know about me, you can leave a comment asking... and maybe Wendy will let me post again.

Minding the baby.

Yesterday Bre asked Taylor and me to mind baby Noah, and we were really excited to do it. So we got dressed in our babysitting outfits, and set out to do our job.

We took her outdoors to enjoy some sun. We sat on the bench in Bre's front yard, and watched the traffic.

Noah wanted to play in the dry fallen leaves, but we put her in the grass since that's softer.

We came back inside when it got late and helped her build a pyramid with her blocks.

Finally, she got tired and we laid her on Bre's puppy pillow for a nap.

Isn't she cute and sweet? Taylor is a good babysitting partner too. =) Oh, Bre asked me to answer a question for her. A couple people wanted to know the meaning behind Noah's name... she said she picked the name Noah Margaret because she doesn't like a lot of the current popular baby names. She prefers old fashioned names, but she wanted to have it be a little unique, so she picked Noah, which is usually a boy's name, but sometimes a girl's name too.

OMG!

I was at Quinn's house this morning, and her little brother Ben would not leave us alone. We were reading magazines and listening to music in her room, and he just kept coming in and talking to me. It was SO weird. So I asked Quinn why he was acting so weird, and she says, "Oh. He discovered girls the other day."

I didn't get it. I asked her what she meant by that, and she says, "He likes girls now. Actually, he just likes YOU! He said you guys are gonna get married some day." Um... no. EWW! He's 7! A 7 year old likes me. This is SO embarrassing! And Quinn thought it was funny! I wish I had a little brother to get hooked on her!

Need inspiration

So, we've all been enjoying the baby. Bre made an album with pics of Noah and us with her and it's here. Check it out... and leave comments if you can. We love comments. =)

I'm experiencing the same thing Avery mentioned in one of her recent posts. I'm kinda running out of ideas for what to post about. I know I tend to babble and make posts that a too long. I don't wanna bore my readers though, so I try not to do that. And Bre can't take too many good pictures of us outside or anything because it's so dry here! I love posting on this blog though... it's actually really fun. I don't know. Anyone have any ideas?

Bre's post: Wanna talk dolly couture and stuff?

Hello everyone, it's Bre (aka BuckinghamAlice)... Wendy's person. (She insists I say it that way... she's not my doll, I'm her person.) With all the buzz around doll couture, I wanted to talk about it too. I just love looking at it!

I currently own 3 Liberty Jane outfits and 3 by cottage_roses (which Wendy blogged about here). I want my next couture item to be from either terristouch on Etsy or Dollie's Dressmaker. I'm thinking about something for Addy first, since she was my first doll (and the moderns have enough). There is also another Addy outfit that I'm also watching on eBay, but given how those things usually go, I don't have my fingers crossed. Anyways...

From Terristouch, I like these:

These dresses are both in the $20 range. Neither is like anything Addy already has.
The first one looks like something she might wear to school, while the second is a little dressier... a party dress.

Then, from Dollie's Dressmaker, there's this one:

This dress is based on a retired Addy outfit called her Patriotic Party Dress that I never got the chance to get. It usually sells for quite a lot on eBay, and is usually not even complete. The only downside to this dress is that, at $41.95, it's more than the other two. I don't mind paying for high quality though, so we'll have to see. I have a birthday coming up in August (the big two-one!), so maybe I'll get lucky and get one of these dresses.

The main thing I'm asking for as a birthday present is Ivy! She is really darn adorable. And I've already got a terristouch item I want for her.

Couldn't you see Ivy skipping down a San Francisco street in that? I can't stop seeing it, lol. I think Ivy will need to get this dress soon after she arrives. I'm not crazy about her meet outfit, and it isn't as though AG has made a lot of clothes for her!

So I'm going to try very hard to save up my money for couture and nice things for my dolls. I think they deserve it. Any thoughts on which Addy outfit is the best? Thoughts on my plan to get Ivy? Other thoughts? I'd like to hear what you all think. =)

All pictures above belong to their respective owners - Terristouch and Dollie's Dressmaker. I own nothing in this blogging but my humble opinions.

Guess what!

Remember how I said Nicki is in Colorado with her family? Well, she IMed me earlier and said she's coming home on next Wednesday. She'll fly into Los Angeles and catch the bus from there to here (which is about two hours away, depending on traffic). I know Quinn told you all how much fun she's having at home, but she said she's missed us all a lot too, and she'll be happy to be back with her grandma. But what's really cool is that her mom is coming with her! Her mom will stay for about a week and a half with Nicki and her grandma and then she'll go home. I think that'll be good for Nicki... kinda like not quitting cold turkey.

And guess what else! Bre has been doing a little eBaying. And she won her first Bitty Baby! Hopefully she'll be here soon. Bre says that all of us dolls can think of this little one as a baby sister. I wonder if I'll get to babysit...

Until next time,

Happy 4th of July!

Photobucket

Hi everyone! It's me, Wendy, here with Quinn and Taylor. We just wanted to wish you all a happy Independence Day! And if you're not American, have a great day anyways. =)

This evening, Taylor and her parents are going to a party at her grandparents' house. My family is going to see the big fireworks show at the stadium of Bre's school. There's a party in Quinn's apartment complex (kinda like a block party) and she and I are going to that.

That's all for now. I know this was a short post, but I just wanted to spread a little holiday happiness.

Until next time,
Wendy S., Quinn S., and Taylor C.
