IM with Jason

I can't even begin to describe this, so just read it, lol.

Jason
: Hey

Me
: Uhm, Hi. Do I know you?

Jason
: Lol, yeah. Well, sorta. It's Jason. Nicole's friend. *

Me
: OOOH... Jason. Hi. How are you?
And, uh... where did you get my screen name?
Jason
: I'm great. And yeah, sorry, I got your email from the school message board... it's in your profile. I just sorta wanted to ask you a question about your cousin.

Me
: What cousin?? **

Jason
:...Nicole...

Me
: Oh right. Her. What did you want to know?

Jason
: Well, I really like her... does she like me at all?

Me
: Uh duh.

Jason
: Seriously?

Me
: Seriously.

Jason
: Can you ask her to meet me at the library before school tomorrow morning?

Me
: Why can't you ask her yourself? ***

Jason
: It's hard to talk to her... I can't think when I look at her...

Me
: She says the same thing about you. ****

Jason
: =)

... There was a long pause here...

Jason
: So will you ask her?

Me
: I guess. But I gotta go now. *****

Jason
: Thanks. Bye =)

So yeah. I'll let you guys know when I find out what happened at the library.

Key:

*
= Since when does she go by Nicole?

**
= I had forgotten Nicki told him that Ashley and I were her little cousins... >.<

***
= Seriously. I'm not their little love messenger.

****
= Nicki told me later that I shouldn't have said that.

*****
= I didn't really have to go... I was just tired of talking to him.

Dance Class

In my school, whenever the weather is bad out, we always have P.E. in our cafeteria (which has to serve as cafeteria/auditorium/gym) -- and the only thing we can do is dance. The eighth grade P.E. teacher Mrs. Moon leads us in these lame choreographed dances with very simple moves. Ashley hates it because it makes her want to do some real dancing, which this is not. Anyways, it was cold this morning, so we were dancing and Nicki discovered that Jason has P.E. with Mrs. Moon the same period we have P.E. with the 6th grade teacher Mrs. Campbell! So they did all their pairs dances together, and I've never seen her blush and giggle more. She really likes him...

Then we met up this afternoon after school to walk to my house and we ran into Jason just as we were leaving campus. He offered to walk with us, although it was pretty obvious he just meant Nicki. They even held hands, and when we got home, they hugged goodbye.

I can't blame her for liking him... he's cute, with his shaggy blondish hair and freckles and green eyes. He looks SO California, and apparently he used to leave near the coast. He's a nice guy... that's why I'm most disappointed in all the lying Nicki is doing...

Nicki + Jason = ????

So, you guys remember how I told you about Nicki getting asked to the dance by an eighth grader named Jason Tonner? Well, I'm in the school library typing this right now, because I'm in shock! Jason works in the library for extra credit... that's where Nicki met him. He's been flirting with her since we came back from winter break... because he thinks she's an eighth grader too! Nicki, Ashley, and I were in the library this morning and Jason came up to us and asked if we had Mrs. Arbuckle for English. Arbuckle only teaches grade 8! Ashley and I laughed and said we had Mrs. Lamb (who only teaches grade 6), but Nicki lied to him... she said she had Arbuckle too! And then she told Jason that Ashley and I were here younger cousins and she helps with our homework.

She told Jason she'll go to the dance with him even though her grandmother said she wasn't allowed to go with a boy. And then she made me and Ashley promise we wouldn't tell her grandma.

Nicki has never lied before. What's my friend becoming? She's acting like a... *gulp*... teenager!

Beautiful Nicki

So, I don't know if you guys have noticed, but my friend Nicki is like a beautiful young woman. I'll be honest... I hadn't noticed. I mean, I knew she was pretty and all, but yesterday at school, they announced that we'll be having a dance next Friday. It's not an evening time date kind of dance... it's during school, and if you have a black or gold card (meaning a GPA of over 2.7) you get to miss 7th period for this dance. Even though it's not a date type thing, some of the older kids are going in couples... and after school, an 8th grader named Jason Tonner asked Nicki to go with him! Well, her grandmother said there was no way she'd allow that... but now Nicki thinks she's very mature. She asked Bre for her own photo shoot, and we all had to admit that she's looking more grown up since she turned 11.

Here is the album. See for yourself. =)

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Erin Go Bragh!

Hi everyone! It's me, the one and only Amelia Quinn St. Clair, or Quinn as I may be more commonly known. You may know that today is St. Patrick's Day! Happy St. Patty's all and Erin Go Bragh!

I don't know if you guys know, but I'm half-Irish on my mom's side, so this is my favorite holiday! I'm wearing green, are you?

I've spent all day helping my mama make corned beef, cabbage, red potatoes, soda bread, and green cupcakes!

Hope you're all having a fantastic day!!!

Addy's new couture dress - review

Another scheduled post. =)

Addy just got a great new dress a while back. It's from ebay seller newyorkdolldesigns. This is something of a review.

The fabric is absolutely lovely, although I'm not sure how well you can tell in the pictures. It's very detailed -- there's ribbon trim and decorative buttons. The dress closes with snaps rather than velcro -- that's always a plus since it doesn't snag hair or stockings! The seams are all finished and serged. A good thing about this particular dress is that it's cut wide enough to accommodate the hoopskirt from Addy's retired underwear set. (We don't own this set, however. Addy is shown wearing the dress hoop-less. *sigh*)

I think the dress looks rather smart with Addy's lace-up boots (pictured above) and with her heartwarmer shawl.
My only complaint is that the dress has the very faintest, slight whiff of cigarette smoke. It would probably only aggravate very sensitive allergies.

Overall, I would highly recommend this seller. The dress is wonderful!

Ivy's birthday present

Hello everyone! I just wanted to make a few posts today to share some recent pictures. I'm posting this now, and I'll have the other scheduled for later.

The other day was Ivy's birthday. The one thing she wanted more than anything was a doll. Not an American Girl doll, or a Barbie styling head (aka Julie's Christmas gift -- she already has that =P)... she wanted an Asian doll. And Bre went on a mad search at many stores to find her one. She ended up finding this wonderful Japanese doll at the same antique store where she bought Sam's desk and Noah's crib. Ivy loves her doll, even if it's not exactly Chinese. She said it beats a blond Barbie any time. =)
